Laundry Service Marketing for Commercial, Residential, and Dry Cleaning
Someone types “wash and fold near me” or asks ChatGPT who picks up laundry in their part of town. We build your site and listings so that person finds you, and more of them turn into regulars, drop-off orders, and linen contracts. Search rankings, AI answers, and your Google Business Profile, run as one program and measured on customers.

Why now
Search Moved. Your Customers Moved with It.

Laundry has always been a neighborhood business, and the neighborhood now starts on a phone. In US results for “wash and fold near me,” Google showed an AI Overview first, above every laundry website on the page. For “commercial laundry service,” three map listings and an AI Overview came before the first site (Ubersuggest, September 2026).
Hotel managers, gym owners, and short-term rental hosts shopping for linen service can now ask ChatGPT or Perplexity for a shortlist and get names back. OrangeBag, a commercial laundry we rebuilt, went from being named in 16% of tracked AI answers about commercial laundry to 49.73% (Semrush AI Visibility).
Ask AnswerThePublic what owners want to know about laundromat marketing, and the answers lean toward flyers, loyalty programs, and social posts. Those still earn their spot by the register. Your next customers are searching, and search is where this program works.
Who This Is For
This program fits laundry businesses with a clear customer and a clear service area: self-service laundromats, wash and fold shops, pickup and delivery services, and dry cleaners. It also fits commercial linen companies that sell to hotels, gyms, spas, and short-term rentals. Dry cleaning marketing runs on the same parts, with pages for alterations, wedding dress cleaning, and same-day service if you offer them. One location or 10, we build page by page and area by area. You should have a working website, a clear service list with prices or a quote form, and the patience to let authority compound.
How it runs
What Modern Laundromat Marketing Looks Like
Forget the stack of door hangers and the monthly PDF. This is five working parts on one 90-day cadence, built around how people look for laundry help now.

Service and Area Pages
One page per service and per area: wash and fold, pickup and delivery, commercial linen, and dry cleaning. Each page answers what someone needs before they call, like price per pound or per bag, turnaround, pickup days, which ZIP codes you cover, and how to book. Pickup and delivery is where laundry service marketing gets specific, because your service area is the product. At OrangeBag, three of the five commercial leads in one week came in through pages built in the rebuild.
Google Business Profile and Reviews
Your Google Business Profile is what shows in the map listings for searches like “wash and fold near me.” We set your primary category, list every service, post accurate hours, and add real photos of your machines, folding tables, and delivery van. Then we build a review habit: a short ask at pickup or in the order text. Every review gets a reply, good or bad.
Schema, llms.txt, and Bing
Schema markup tells Google and AI tools what you are in a format they read directly. There’s a schema.org type built for this business, DryCleaningOrLaundry, and we fill it in with your hours, service area, and prices. Next comes an llms.txt file that points AI tools to your main pages. Your site also gets submitted to Bing Webmaster Tools, because ChatGPT leans on Bing’s index.
Answers Written for AI Assistants
We write the content people look for before they choose: what wash and fold costs, how pickup works, whether you handle wedding dress cleaning, whether you’re open 24 hours, and what a hotel linen service contract includes. Answer first, details after, your name in the answer. AI assistants quote that format, and people trust it.
Measurement That Counts Customers
We track quote requests, pickup bookings, and calls first, AI mentions for your money searches second, and rankings third. Reporting is monthly and tied to orders and contracts. No vanity charts.

AI search
From 16% to 49% share of voice on answer engines
Answer engines are the AI assistants people now ask instead of searching. Semrush tracks how often orangebag.co is named in their answers about commercial laundry — it went from 16 percent to 49.73 percent in two weeks.

Where it started
The old site scored 78, with 369 errors

Technical health
Semrush grades the new site 100 out of 100
Semrush runs a website through more than a hundred automated checks. The rebuilt site passes every one. The average site in the top ten percent scores 92.

A 100 can hide a weak spot if it is an average. This one is not — Semrush breaks the score into individual reports and the site takes the top mark on each.

Before and after
The same company, told properly

A logo, a strapline and a partner badge. Nothing that says what OrangeBag sells, to whom, or where — and no way to ask for a quote without hunting.

What it replaced
Almost nobody landed on a page that could sell them anything
People who found OrangeBag on Google landed on a blog article.
Landed somewhere they could ask for a price.
Pages before and after. Every service and market OrangeBag sells now has its own page.
What this means
The old site was mostly articles — many written for cities OrangeBag doesn’t serve, and a lot of them published two or three times over at different web addresses.
So when a hotel manager searched for commercial laundry, Google had five hundred pages to choose from and usually showed an article. The pages that could take a quote request were buried.
Source: Google Search Console, twelve months before launch.
The work
What changed
Every service got its own page. Someone searching for gym towel service used to find a blog post. Now there is a page for gym towels, one for hotel linen, one for spas — and each one can take a quote request. Three of the five leads came in through those pages.
The site stopped competing with itself. The same article existed at two or three web addresses, so Google had to choose between copies of OrangeBag and usually showed none of them well. Each topic has one page now, and the leftover copies are being redirected to it.
Each market page explains how that market is served. Los Angeles is OrangeBag’s own plant, and the other markets run from facilities closer to the client so turnaround stays short. Buyers want to know who handles their route before they ask for a price, and now the page answers it.
OrangeBag owns the site now. Moved off Squarespace onto WordPress with a separate build environment, so pages can be changed and tested without touching the live site.
Nineteen pages written and reviewed. Eleven defects found and fixed before anything went live.
The architecture
One page for every vertical they serve
Every market page is a market OrangeBag can run a route to. Nothing was built to catch a search OrangeBag cannot serve.

Hotel linen & towel
Scheduled routes, exclusive linen pools.

Gym & studio towel
High-rotation towel programs.

Spa & salon linen
Soft-touch finishing for robes and linens.
Eight service pages and eleven location pages.
What’s next
The rebuild is the floor, not the ceiling
Blog consolidation
Retiring the duplicated city-blog network into the new pages, harvesting what is worth keeping before each redirect.
Editorial program
Twenty-four posts across four clusters, each answering the question an operator asks before they are ready to buy.
Conversion tracking
Attributing every quote request to its landing page and query, so the next round is aimed by evidence.
Metro pages
Six metros have a page of their own. The region pages name a dozen more — Dallas, Austin, Orlando, Tampa, Northern Virginia — that do not.
Service by market
A buyer searching for hotel linen in San Francisco gets the hotel page or the San Francisco page, never one written for both. Those pages are worth building.
Residential service areas
Santa Monica, Long Beach and West Hollywood have pages on the residential side. The rest of the Los Angeles metro follows.
Next phase scoped and ready.

Commercial laundry and linen service for hotels, gyms, spas, medical offices and short-term rentals.

Laundry and Dry Cleaning Marketing, Answered
How do I market a laundry business?
Plenty of laundromat marketing ideas focus on people who already walk past: flyers, loyalty cards, and window signs. Search reaches the ones who don’t. Start with a page for each service and area, a complete Google Business Profile, and a review ask after every order.
How do I attract customers to my laundry business?
Give them a reason to pick you before they visit: real photos, posted prices or a clear quote form, current hours, and recent reviews. Then make booking easy, with a phone number that gets answered and pickup windows people can see. OrangeBag’s quote form goes to the founder’s phone, and one commercial lead got a callback in 10 minutes.
How do I use local SEO to attract more laundromat customers?
Local SEO for a laundromat starts with a complete Google Business Profile, accurate hours, and a steady flow of reviews. Your site needs a page for each service and each neighborhood you serve, plus DryCleaningOrLaundry schema so search engines read your details correctly. After that, track which searches bring calls and build more pages for the ones that work.
What are the best marketing strategies for a wash and fold service?
Give wash and fold its own page, and answer price, turnaround, and pickup area before anything else. Keep those details matched on your Google Business Profile. Add a booking form or a pickup schedule, and ask for a review after the first order.
How do I grow a laundry business?
Add services people already search for, then give each one its own page: pickup and delivery, commercial linen, or dry cleaning drop-off. OrangeBag grew this way, with pages for gym towel service and specific cities. It now brings in 24+ commercial leads a month.
What marketing services specialize in promoting laundry businesses?
You can hire a general marketing agency, a laundry-focused agency, or a search firm like Pink Fins. We run SEO and AEO for laundry businesses, and OrangeBag is the proof: its share of tracked AI answers about commercial laundry went from 16% to 49.73%. Whoever you talk to, ask for a laundry client’s results with the source attached.
