Javon Frazier

From Vice President, Games Marketing at Marvel Entertainment to CEO and Founder of Maestro Media – Javon Frazier has a wealth of experience that Pink Fins was able to elevate and utilize to amplify his voice and brand recognition, in order to champion him as a thought leader in the gaming industry.

Javon came to us during the pandemic, in 2020, right after making the bold move of buying out Studio 71 Games and preparing to launch a Kickstarter for Binding of Isaac: Four Souls. Throughout his career, he had gained a lot of contacts in the industry, but for this Kickstarter, he needed to increase community awareness, while also bolstering his preexisting network. Javon put everything on the line to launch Binding of Isaac: Four Souls, including his own home. So, the stakes were higher than most. We dove headfirst into cultivating a strategy that would exceed Javon’s expectations and ultimately resulted in a Kickstarter campaign that raised $6.7 million USD, along with being recognized by INC. Magazine 2025 for the courage it took to believe in something during such a turbulent time (for more information on Binding of Isaac, click the Binding of Isaac tab).

Our strategy for this campaign involved press distribution, leveraging social media and media coverage to amplify knowledge of the Kickstarter and Javon’s leadership of Maestro Media. We also targeted Javon’s LinkedIn (among other things) to sow the seeds of his thought leadership in the industry and continued to cultivate and secure that throughout the years – which resulted in his targeted LinkedIn network growing from 5,000 to 26,000 with millions of views on each post, along with social media growth. We have utilized his LinkedIn network for investor facing campaigns during fundraising, to develop strategic relationships, and the coordination of podcast appearances, panels, and online media.

The outstanding success of Binding of Isaac: Four Souls and Javon’s increased personal/brand awareness have led to many other iconic collaborations, such as Hello Kitty, Smurfs, Disney, etc. For more information on our work to support these games, click on their icons on the Maestro Media page.
